Water proposal uncertainty
I am unsure what Debra Wales is proposing (Peninsula News, "Wales wants water corporation").
The State Labor Government has already enacted legislation forming the "Central Coast Water Corporation" with both Gosford and Wyong councils as the two "stakeholders" who therefore receive dividends from the water sections of the Corporation/council.
Is she suggesting that the State Government should receive these dividends instead as happens with both Sydney and Hunter Water Corporations, rather than the existing councils/ratepayers?
I, for one, don't want my water rates subsidising this existing and potential future Iemma State Government.
