History could go
I find it very distressing to think of the remnant bushland area at Veron Rd being lost.
It is part of our history.
In the midst of busy Umina, it tells us what the Peninsula was once like.
The Central Coast is, I think, one of the most beautiful places in New South Wales.
It is time now to consider what we should keep for the people of today and those of tomorrow.
The land in Veron Rd comes into this category.
Should it go, I can imagine someone in the future speaking about it - that in that spot there had once been an example of our natural environment, but that it had gone.
Forever.
Because there is no turning back.
