Business advice offered locally
Ettalong and Umina will be among Central Coast localities to receive local services from the new Central Coast Business Advisory Service.
The Central Coast Business Enterprise Centre has been offered a contract to run the new Central Coast Business Advisory Service, according to Minister for Small Business, Mr David Campbell.
"The Central Coast Business Advisory Service is one of 18 across the State which will provide this important service to small business owners and operators," Mr Campbell said.
"The new service aims to encourage successful business start-ups, enhance the competitiveness and profitability of existing businesses and increase their capacity to expand and generate new jobs.
"It will provide information, advice and training to small business clients across the region.
"The Central Coast Business Advisory Service expects to handle 8000 business inquiries a year.
"The service will operate from an office on the Ourimbah campus of the University of Newcastle, co-located with the Small Business Incubator."
Local services are planned for Ettalong and Umina and five other centres on the Central Coast.
