Wolves take lead

The Woy Woy Wolves baseball team took a clear lead in the points table after a 12-7 win against Magpies at Rogers Park on Saturday, July 3.

The Magpies were still missing some key players but Mark Smith returned from injury to take the mound for six innings.

It was not enough to hold out the power of the Wolves squad who used Jason Smith as lead off pitcher followed by Luke Stevenson for the remaining four innings.

Wolves' best on the day was short stop Adam Blight who came up with five hits.

Wolves had a good day defeating Magpies 21-2 in second grade and 9-3 in third grade.

Fourth grade saw Magpies Black defeat Wolves 15-4.

Points table is Wolves 15, Magpies 11, Dodgers 10, Lions 8.
