Public entries sought for budgie show

The Central Coast Branch of the Budgerigar Society of NSW will stage its 2004 Annual Show on Sunday, March 14, at the Brisbane Water Secondary College campus in Veron Rd, Umina.

For the first time, the public is invited to compete in two special classes: best-decorated cage, with pet budgie and/or best (wild-type) green budgerigar.

Entries must be phoned in on 4341 2708 by March 12.

Cost is 50 cents per cage and prizes will be awarded.

Members of the society last year exhibited over 600 top budgerigars.

The display will be open once judging is completed around noon.

Lunch will be available and a winner's choice raffle will be drawn at presentation time.
