Bling It Up gala charity dinner

Because We Care Boutique Central Coast will hold its annual Bling It Up gala dinner at Ettalong Diggers at 6:30pm on Saturday, September 7

Tickets include a three-course dinner, drinks and dancing, silent auctions and raffles.

Because We Care Boutique is a voluntary service based in the Glenning Valley providing clothing, support and empowerment workshops to women in the Hunter, Lake Macquarie and Central Coast, following a trauma such as domestic violence.

A project of the Iris Foundation, it prepares women to re-enter the workforce, work experience, court appearances, and important appointments.

Tickets cost $99 and all donations are tax deductible.

Tesch 'stoked' to see new skate park

Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch says she could not believe her eyes when she visited the new skate park at Umina.

"I had a visit and could not believe what a great facility it is," she said.

"This skate park offers hours of fun for both children and adults!

"I was stoked to see how much it means for our community to have such a modern and well-designed skate park like this in our electorate."

She said it was a credit "to everyone involved in bringing this park to life".
