Baby basket donation coincides with branch birthday

Two members of the Woy Woy branch of the Country Women's Association have delivered baby baskets to Gosford Hospital.

Ms Katrina Villason and Ms Diane Spinks presented nurse midwife Ms Alanie Day with two baby baskets.

The baskets are filled with provisions for a new baby as well as a few things for the new parents.

The baskets are given to the parents of the first girl and the first boy born on June 8.

The donation is made to coincide with the branch's birthday on that day.

Practice for probationary fire fighters

Patonga Fire Station was a hive of activity last week as the brigade went through some final practice with a couple of its probationers ahead of their assessments at the weekend.

It also provided a great opportunity for the brigade's newest recruits to see the theory come together.
