Opera in the Arboretum makes 'modest net return'

The Rotary Club of Woy Woy hopes to make a "modest net return" from Opera in the Arboretum "to distribute to community and charitable causes".

The club reported strong ticket sales compared to recent years, with a total of 692 tickets sold.

They included 322 senior and concession tickets, 216 adult tickets, 77 tickets as part of groups of 10 or more individuals, 35 tickets for primary and high school students (Primary and High School), and 41 prepaid program tickets.

This was over the number needed to break even.

"Once we finish accounting, we are likely to make a modest net return to distribute to community and charitable causes," said club president Mr Tom McCann.

"This means the event was a success.

"Once we have all the numbers in place we will set aside some time for the club to discuss how this event went, what we can learn, improve, change and stop doing - and make some decisions about future Operas in the Arboretum."
