Speakers chosen
Eight students from Pretty Beach Public School have been selected to present speeches at the Hunter Central Coast Regional Public Speaking Competition to be held on Wednesday, August 24.
The students were selected following a public speaking night held in the school library in the first week of August.
Organiser Mr Chris McInerney said the students impressed with "the quality of the speeches' subject matter, their poise and the manner in which they engaged with the audience through their eye contact, voice projection and use of hand and facial gestures".
