Bays president welcomes promise

The Bays Community Group president Mr Bob Puffett has welcomed promises to upgrade Woy Woy Rd.

"The community in the main was pushing for an improvement in Woy Woy Rd and certainly, for safety, something to do with the Rawson Rd Rail Crossing would be welcome," he said.

"This is a thriving community and the fact that we have a rail crossing here seems crazy.

"The upgrade of the road would provide much safer and more regulated mode of transport for people.

"Improvements to the road would also assist in getting away from bushfires.

"The proposal was put up to improve Woy Woy Rd, to upgrade and eliminate the Rawson St Crossing.

"In my view, as the president, it is most welcome," said Mr Puffett.
