School staff limited to between two and five

Umina Beach Public School will limit on-site staffing to two to five people each day, including teaching, administration and support staff.

"School principals have been directed to ensure that only the minimum number of staff are on the school site at any time," said relieving principal Mr Chad Tsakissiris.

"We have planned to follow this advice as closely as possible.

"The small number of teachers at school will not be providing explicit teaching instruction to students who attend school.

"They will provide supervision for students to complete the exact same units as the ones being completed by students at home.

"We strongly urge all students to learn from home where possible.

"We know home schooling is tough and we know that it can cause stress and angst.

"However, it is critical at this time to follow the restrictions and stay at home for the safety of everyone.

"Many thanks to parents for assisting us with these measures."
