Opera sung at Pearl Beach
Opera in the Arboretum will be held at Pearl Beach on Saturday, March 23.
A varied program of opera has been scheduled including the Pearl Fishers Duet, the Flower Duet from Lakme and Nessun Dorma, according to organiser Mr John Greenway from Woy Woy Rotary Club.
The event will also bring the audience arias from La Traviata to celebrate the 200th year of Verdi's birthday, he said.
A line up of Australasian opera singers including New Zealand's tenor Ben Makisi, Opera Australia principal mezzo Dominica Matthews, baritone Dallas Watts and soprano Michaele Archer are also scheduled to perform.
Accompanying the artists will be pianist Jem Harding, with harpist Verna Lee Brown and flautist Vanessa Ropa performing a Mozart concerto.
The Central Coast Chamber Orchestra, drawn from the Central Coast Conservatorium under the baton of Patrick Brennan, will support the artists.
