Rainfall passes annual average
Total rainfall on the Peninsula this year now stands at 1223mm, which exceeds the annual average of 1215mm, according to Woy Woy resident Mr Jim Morrison.
"We have just passed the annual long-term average," he said.
A total of 48.2mm of rain has fallen on the Peninsula in the first two weeks of September.
This is more than half the monthly average of 69.4mm.
Rain has been recorded on seven days so far this month, with three days recording more than five millimetres.
The highest rainfall was 22.5mm recorded on September 8.
