Money raised

A recent market day held at Umina Uniting Church was successful, despite the damp and cool day, according to church secretary Ms Annette Strong.

"Most stallholders had to come into the building, but the plants and barbeque remained outside," Ms Strong said.

The barbeque raised money for Youth and Family Ministry work, while the balance of the proceeds will go towards payment on the loan on the church's new community centre.

"The Central Coast Barbershop Chorus was a great attraction and was enjoyed by the large crowd," Ms Strong said.

"Our hard working kitchen team made and sold 90 dozen scones along with serving numerous Devonshire teas."
