Plans for bike path

Gosford Council has announced plans for the continuation of the bike path along Brick Wharf Rd, Woy Woy.

Residents of Brick Wharf Rd had expressed concern that the bike path might impact adversely on the foreshore, stating that more consultation should have been sought before any decisions were made.

According to council bicycle officer Mr Alan Brown, a public consultation process will start shortly and the project should commence within the next few months

Funding for the cycle bridge over Woy Woy Bay is also being sought and work should begin by September or October, according to Mr Brown.

Council is also awaiting funding from State Government to provide more bicycle lockers and racks for Woy Woy Station.
