Ideas sought for Community Plan

Gosford Council is developing a Community Plan to improve quality of life across the municipality.

"We are seeking thoughts, ideas and feedback from as many Gosford community members as we can," said the council's social planner Ms Amanda Howard.

"The Community Plan will provide a framework for Council to work more closely with residents, community groups and service providers."

The survey asks residents why they chose to live on the Central Coast, what they value most about living here and what their ideal community would be like.

It asks respondents what the community does and does not do well, as well as asking for suggestions of ways in which the council and community could work together to improve residents' quality of life.

Survey forms can be obtained by calling Council's Community Development section on 4325 8351.

They can also be filled in on Council's web site at www.gosford.nsw.gov.au.

The draft Community Plan will be on exhibition in October, and all surveys need to be returned by Monday, July 31.

For further information, call Amanda Howard on 4325 8893 on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
